We're challenging budding artists like you to show us your best aviation-inspired work! Create an original piece of artwork that captures the essence of aviation, travel, and adventure for a chance to have your work showcased and sold on a global stage.

The Mission

Create an original piece of art inspired by travel, flight, adventure, exploration, or the AV-Con community. This could be a moment from a journey, the feeling of taking off, the excitement of discovering somewhere new, or a story that celebrates why we explore the world.

This contest is not about technical perfection. It’s about imagination, emotion, storytelling, and the idea behind your piece.

We want artwork that:

  • Inspires

  • Moves us

  • Transports us into a moment, memory, or destination

  • Captures the spirit of exploration in a meaningful or unexpected way

Whether you’re an experienced artist or brand new, your vision is what matters most.

Exposure & Acclaim

Your art deserves to be seen. If you take part, your work will be:

  • Viewed by over 1,000 visitors at the AV-Con 2026 convention.

  • Celebrated by top aviation and travel YouTube creators including:

    • Other top creators.

  • Shared globally across all of the convention's social media channels!

Judging Information

The judges will focus on:

  • Originality – Is the concept unique, thoughtful, or surprising?

  • Emotional impact – Does it make us feel something?

  • Creativity & storytelling – Does it tell a journey, spark curiosity, or capture the joy of discovery?

  • Connection to AV-Con themes – travel, flight, adventure, exploration, community

  • Overall impression – the “wow” factor that stays with you

  • Important: Your submission must be your own original work. No AI-generated or AI-assisted artwork is permitted.

What will not be judged:

  • Technical or professional skill level

  • Perfect lines, shading, or realism

  • Artistic training or experience

If your artwork can take someone somewhere — even for a moment — you’re already on the right path!

The Prizes

We've split the contest into two categories to ensure a fair competition:

  • Category 1: Under 18's

  • Category 2: Over 18's

In each category, the winner will receive:

  • A custom-designed trophy celebrating your artistic achievement.

  • A $500 cash prize to spend on art supplies and fuel your creative journey.

The winning design will be transformed into a special edition print to be sold exclusively at Av-Con 2026 in Atlanta! Your art will become a piece of aviation history!

  2. Submit your finished piece using our online entry form

IMPORTANT DEADLINE: All artwork must be submitted by SUNDAY, DECEMBER 21, 2025.

Important Notes for Entrants

  1. Entrants Under 18: Parent/guardian permission is required to enter the contest.

  2. Social Media Release: A signed social media release form must be completed by all participants.

  3. All art must be original, your own, and not generated by AI.
